Blockchain Researcher
Overview
We are currently looking for a Blockchain Researcher for our crypto exchange, blockchain and web3 security. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and updating the current trends and technology of blockchain and working closely with our development team to create and implement deployment strategies.
What are we building?
We are building and developing OChain, our very own layer-1 blockchain (or can also be called a network or protocol) similar to Solana, Cosmos, Avalanche, BNB Chain, NEAR and Polkadot. You are encouraged to apply for this position if you’ve previously worked from any of the other layer-1, layer-2 or layer-3 chains, either full-time, contract or part-time. Obridge is our term for bridging chains or cross-chain communication. That means dApp users can interact with any asset, any application, on any chain via a proof-of-stake transport layer.

Specific Skills
- Demonstrable experience working on a role relating to technical paper writing and research.
- Deep knowledge of cryptocurrencies and blockchains.
- Has published research, analyses, articles, or blogs on blockchain projects or protocols will be a huge plus.
- Technical understanding of blockchain / smart contracts and their technical limitations is highly beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to discuss and explain technical concepts, solutions, and architectures.
- Organized and self-sufficient
Responsible For
- Staying up to date with industry trends to provide strategic insights and identify areas of improvement.
- Identify and support additional initiatives to facilitate the growth of our ecosystem.
- Investigate emerging technologies, innovations, and opportunities in the blockchain industry and conduct independent research to compile reports with unique insights.
- Produce weekly market commentary and project updates for the department's ongoing projects.
- Produce original valuation & modeling work to help further develop the products/projects in our ecosystem.
- Coordinate and edit technical documentation
Job Nature
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, data analysis, or a related field is preferred.
